For fifteen years I worked in operational service delivery across Critical National Infrastructure, up into senior leadership. It taught me how businesses actually run: where the bottlenecks hide, where good people lose hours to bad process, and where off-the-shelf software quietly makes everything harder instead of easier.

Nudge5 started with a spreadsheet problem I was tired of.

My month-end numbers took hours, so I taught myself to build and made a drag-and-drop tool that did the whole summary for me, all in the browser, nothing leaving my machine.

Once the logic was written, hours became minutes.

That was the moment it clicked.

The thing I needed did not exist off the shelf, and building it exactly for the job beat bending my process around someone else's platform.

Now I do that for other people. Databases, automations large and small, AI analysis to name a few, all grounded in compliance from the first line of code. The name says the intent: a nudge in the right direction, and five because it's my favourite number.

I have sat on your side of the table, so I usually understand what you need quite early into the discussions. And I am never far from my laptop, coding, learning or watching Youtube!
