The problem
A fast-growing community organisation was struggling to manage a mix of staff and volunteers as they scaled. As the numbers grew, managers needed a single system to plan, track and communicate rotas, but it also had to work for people who were not confident with tech.
What we built
We created Shiftly, a lightweight rota planner designed for real people, not just administrators. Managers can build weekly schedules with a few clicks, view patterns at a glance, and instantly see who is off or covering extra hours. Behind the scenes, a built-in AI assistant helps simplify everyday tasks: explaining features, spotting scheduling conflicts, and generating weekly summaries automatically. It quietly keeps the system running smoothly, giving less tech-savvy users confidence to manage their teams independently.
